Happy Mother's Day to my moms, grandma, sister in law, and friends!
I think that on a day like today you should all be recognized for the amazing job you do as mothers. You each possess different qualities and characteristics that make you some of the world's best moms. You have some of the toughest jobs with raising children in a world like ours; yet it's one of the most rewarding. You each bring Christian morals and values to your families and make sure your kids know Jesus and love Him the same passion you do. It's so amazing when you you see your 20 month old niece and 3 year old nephew raise their hands in the air every time their mom says "Praise the Lord", or to hear your nephew ask about saying the blessing before dinner and grabbing hands while he waits. To hear your best friends daughter asking about going to church and walking so willingly into her class with a smile on her face because she loves to hear about Jesus. And for her to ask for Christian stories that are on dvd or books because her mother has instilled a love of Jesus in her from the beginning. Or to see Tracy's (my 2nd mom as I lovingly call her) 18 year old son stand up for what he believes in, in front of his friends at high school because he doesn't care what they say/think about him. For him to know and understand our God and stand firm in his faith; he didn't get that on his own it came from the teachings and love of his mother (well and father but this is mothers day after all). All of these little moments, of which there are so many more, bring tears to my eyes and a joy to my heart that cannot be explained.
Not only have each of these woman had an impact on their children but they have also had an impact on me. Each one has meant something different, yet so very special to me throughout my life. I will be eternally grateful for these woman that the Lord has blessed me with. I love you all deeply and pray you all have a blessed Mother's Day!!
